Anyone who browsed the Nook Color's app store following the roll out of Froyo on the eReader will have noted that Namco Bandai had a significant presence on the marketplace from day one.
At launch, the publisher had four games available for sale, including Flight Control, Crush the Castle, More Brain Exercise and Learn to Fly.
Offering such a wealth of support from the word go was no mistake, however.
VP of marketing Carlson Choi believes the Nook Color, and eReaders in general, offer developers a massive opportunity.
Platform power
"We are always looking for ways to extend the gaming experience beyond one platform to multiple platforms," Choi said of his firm's support for the platform.
"With the success of Nook Color and the rapid growth of the eReader market, we see a big opportunity to reach new consumers with our popular, casual games.
"Whether readers want to flex their mental muscle with More Brain Exercise or keep the skies safe in Flight Control, they can have a lot of fun when taking a break from reading."
Namco Bandai claims it will consider offering up its titles on any format if there is perceived to consumer demand.
However, the publisher also remains committed to existing platforms, with Choi revealing iOS release Bird Zapper! has gone free on the App Store today for one day only.
