Gogii Games launches $100,000 King of Casual Contest
As one of the new breed of causal games companies, Canadian outfit GoGii Games is keen to encourage innovation in the industry - that's the thinking behind its $100,000 (Canadian) King of Casual Contest.

Open to all studios, with special preference for hidden object and mobile - notably Android - games, submissions must consist of a playable demo, and file sizes are limited to 200MB.

"To me, it's all about providing opportunity and nurturing talent," says founder and CEO, George Donovan.

"Currently we work with international development studios, and these collaborative partnerships have allowed Gogii and their partners to benefit and grow. We're looking to continue doing that and hoping to find fresh new talent with this contest."

Running from May 16 until July 15, the winner will be announced at the Casual Connect conference held in Seattle on July 19.

Along with the C$100,000 cash or publishing contract, Gogii is offering additional value to the winner through a collaborative development process, preferred royalty rates and the opportunity to distribute worldwide in multiple languages and on multiple platforms.

The top three finalists will also be featured on the Gogii Games website and other social media feeds.

You can find out more information from the contest website, and make sure to check the terms and conditions.
