Whether it'll officially be dubbed iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S remains a mystery, but September appears to be the best bet for the launch of the next iPhone.
The latest report on DigiTimes claims Apple manufacturer Pegatron has received an order to produce 15 million units of the device, up from a figure of 10 million originally called for by Jobs and co.
Bullish outlook
Apple's increased order is said to be as a result of strong sales of iPhone 4.
In Q1 2011, the firm managed to sell 18.65 million units, with the roll out of handsets for Verizon boosting take-up across the quarter.
Pegatron has been told that the handset's successor is coming "soon", with shipments set to begin this September, though an actual launch date and even confirmation the device exists naturally remains under wraps for the time being.
September has previously been cited as the launch date by supposed Apple insiders.
