With monetisation still an issue for Android Market, it's good news that Vodafone has announced it's added operator billing in the UK and Germany.
Presently the service is only available on devices bought direct from Vodafone, but will be rolled out to all Vodafone smartphones, and additional territories.
"This evolution in Android app payment greatly improves the user's purchase experience and consequently their likelihood of completing a sale," the company commented.
Previously, content on Android Market could only be purchased via Google Checkout, which requires a credit card; something that significantly reduces the potential audience.
