There's a certain confidence behind the unveiling of ad exchange Mobclix's new advance payments program.
More and more publishers are going to release ad-supported free apps in the moment, in the firm's view, so the way studios are paid needs to better serve their needs.
Mobclix's solution is, instead of forcing studios to wait up to 120 days to be remunerated for ads on their apps, firms can now pick it up in as early as 15 days assuming they don't mind Mobclix taking a cut, of course.
Going with the flow
"Most publishers rely on the payment schedule from ad networks & exchanges to grab hold of their revenue and keep app development alive, which usually takes anywhere from 60-90 days after month end," said social media manager Barbara Dizon.
"But if you're a Mobclix developer, all of that is about to change."
In short, Mobclix will deliver payment within 15 days for a 10 percent cut of all monthly revenues, while opting for the 30 day alternative will result in 8 percent being nabbed by the platform.
Either way, Mobclix which was acquired by Velti little over a year ago for an undisclosed fee believes, as well as offering differentiation from its rivals, it's a model that's better equipped to ease the cashflow problems many mobile publishers and developers suffer day to day.
