Ensuring it's keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends, mobile publisher Gameloft is getting into high end browser gaming.
Working with the Mandreel virtualisation middleware, it's just released its GT Racing: Motor Academy in HTML5 form via Google+.
It claims the game - which has a tweaked graphics engine - is "the first 3D HTML5 racing title" on the platform.
As well as the usual timed races, players can race against drivers from all over the world via its multiplayer mode.
In-app purchases, cloud save and web audio and Flash are also supported, although the game requires a PC with dual core 1.8 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 512MB of vRAM.

"Gameloft is very excited about offering our games to Google+ users," said Baudouin Corman, Gameloft's veep publishing for the Americas.
"GT Racing is bringing a stunning racing experience right in the browser, and we are happy to be pioneering the field with Google to bring the social gaming platform to the next level."
Other games released on Google+ using Mandreel including Halfbrick's Monster Dash, and Glu Mobile's Gun Bros. and Big Time Gangsta.
