Tapjoy has announced a 'trilateral partnership' that will see the mobile monetisation platform team up with Chinese Android app store Gfan and mobile publisher CocoaChina.
The arrangement will result in partners of all three companies participating in what's billed as an "incentivised freemium zone" within Gfan's existing marketplace.
Three-in-a-bed
Said zone will provide 'targeted engagement opportunities' for developers and advertisers working within the region, all delivered through Tapjoy's mobile value exchange platform.
But perhaps the more pertinent result for Western developers is that Tapjoy is promising cross-promotion opportunities between Chinese and 'foreign' applications on its platform.
"This is a very important milestone for Tapjoy's strategic growth in China," explained Tapjoy CEO Mihir Shah.
"Through our partnerships with CocoaChina and Gfan, Tapjoy will be uniquely positioned to provide a stronger user experience while offering advertisers and developers access to Tapjoy's extensive user network."
According to CocoaChina CEO Chen Haozhi, the three-way partnership is designed to hand developers a larger platform to promote their apps in what's become a fast growing market.
"In turn, Tapjoy's incentivised advertising platform will allow consumers to access premium content within their favorite mobile apps while also improving user app discovery within the Gfan marketplace," added Haozhi.
