There are lots of companies trying to leverage the power of real world rewards to drive the engagement of mobile games.
US outfit P4RC (pronounced pärk) is doing something different from the likes of Kiip and Beintoo, however, as it uses this mechanic within its own social network.
This enables players to compete in micro-tournaments for virtual currency that can be turned into rewards, as well as providing more opportunities for cross promotion and viral discovery.
Daily push
It's now looking to further boost the promotion of games within its network by hooking up with the FreeAppADay channel.
This will see one developer per month get a free slot on FreeAppADay, paid for by P4RC.
"We are very excited to offer this amazing benefit to our game development partners," said Jason Seldon, P4RC's CEO.
"FreeAppADay is the leading global app discovery channel for the iOS App Store, and it offers a perfect complement to P4RC's Social Rewards Network, which helps to engage and retain mobile players."
You can find out more about how P4RC works via its website.
