UPDATE: Come and party with Pocket Gamer in London at MGF 2013
UPDATE: Pocket Gamer's party in London on Wednesday 23 January - details below - is now the official after party for Mobile Games Forum 2013. Register your place for free now.

Pocket Gamer may be known for its insightful take on the mobile gaming market, producing industry leading sites of unrivalled quality (at least, that's what it says on the piece of paper in front of me), but we also know how to party.

As such, news of a Pocket Gamer shindig to compliment this year's Mobile Games Forum in London is likely to garner the attention of the world's biggest stars.

Lady Gaga, Rihanna, whoever was behind The Birdie Song – they'll all be there. Well, their CDs may well be.

Party planners

In all seriousness, Pocket Gamer is hosting a bash alongside the Mobile Games Forum 2013 in association with W3i on Wednesday 23 January, and you can reserve your spot via the party's Eventbrite page.

According to said page – which, for reasons unknown, employs some rather dodgy sailor metaphors – the MGF party is set to be the first in a "calendar of show-stopping parties", with "free food and a free bar" on the agenda.

The party – which will run from 7pm to 10.30pm at London's Cape Bar on Nesham Street - is free to attend, though registration is recommended, as we'll be allocating one chicken nugget and one Hula Hoop to each confirmed attendee. Maybe.

It's also open to everyone - MGF attendees, or plain ol' hip-and-happening London city types - so feel free to pop along whatever your reasons for being in the big smoke.
