Social star: Storm8's mobile gaming network hits 10 million DAUs
Storm8 has announced that the number of daily active users – or DAUs to the savvy – engaging with its mobile gaming network has hit 10 million.

That figure is drawn from a total of 200 million players now signed up to said mobile network, which itself is up 100 percent on the number published by public by Storm8 eight months ago.

1 to 30

"We saw the value of building a mobile game network since Storm8 was founded and this has enabled us to consistently engage our current users and draw in new players," said CEO Perry Tam of the news.

"We're seeing that a player's lifetime is three times longer within a mobile game network than with just a single game.

"This reinforces the importance of expanding into multiple genres and offering high-quality games to extend our footprint in such a hyper growth, hyper competitive industry."

Such growth shouldn't be knocked. Storm8 now boasts the around the same number of mobile DAUs as Zynga did in the run up to its IPO, with said users spread across a total of more than 30 titles.

At peak, the company claims that its library hit 2 million downloads a day in December, with 400 million downloads amassed in total.
