Unity has announced the finalists for its 2013 Unity Awards with mobile titles naturally well represented across six of the nine categories.
Leading the pack are Fireproof's The Room and Simogo's Year Walk, both of which are nominated for three awards each.
The Room is up for The Golden Cube, The Community Choice Award, and Best Gameplay (alongside Rovio's Bad Piggies and A Bit Lucky's Solstice Arena), while Year Walk is nominated for Best 2D Visual Experience, along with The Golden Cube and The Community Choice Award.
To 2D or not to 2D
But Year Walk isn't the only mobile title in the running for Best 2D Visual Experience.
Adult Swim Games' Girls Like Robots is in consideration, along with the upcoming Strata (Graveck), House on Fire's The Silent Age, and 3D Attack's The Other Brothers.
Year Walk
On the 3D side, the just-released shooter The Drowning is the sole mobile title nominated for the Best 3D Visual Experience award.
It's also nominated for the Technical Achievement accolade, alongside augmented reality app Sphero - Sharky the Beaver.
The Drowning
Finally, mobile make up a full six of the ten games up in the Community Choice award - which you can vote on by clicking here - with Bad Piggies, Fantasy Adventure (USERJOY), Knights of Pen and Paper (Behold Studios), Solstice Arena (A Bit Lucky), The Room, and Year Walk all in the running.
