As an expanding array of peripherals aim to change how mobile gamers play, VTree Entertainment has harnessed the Extreme Motion SDK to free players from physical controls.
Using the Kinect-like technology of Extreme Reality, the Windows 8 version of VTree Entertainment's Pro Riders Snowboard Extreme Edition can now be controlled via body gestures and posture changes using the front-facing camera on your tablet (or laptop).
The game was originally designed for use with a physical controller.
A balancing act
Speaking on VTree's decision to integrate the SDK, Extreme Motion's CEO Sarit Firon called the implementation "easy" and noted that "Without any hardware upgrades, Pro Riders Snowboard Extreme Edition players now have access to one of the hottest trends in gaming - using their full body motion to control the game."
