Analytics firm App Annie has bolstered its Store Stats tracking system with support for Windows Phone.
Having being inundated with requests from developers to back Microsoft's platform, support has been added in beta form, with App Annie users able to view the top 500 apps on Windows Phone dating back to 24 November 2013.

App Annie has promised to add more Windows Phone data in the coming months, with the company confIrming that it will continue to track Microsoft's OS "from here on out".
App Annie's decision to start tracking Windows Phone software is another moment of recognition for Microsoft's OS, which enjoyed solid growth during 2013.
