Merchandising can be a very lucrative revenue channel for games companies.
But there are challenges; notably setting up a website, ordering stock and fulfilling orders.
And that's where Finnish outfit PopAppStore comes into play.
It's just launched a turnkey service that does pretty much everything for you.

Launched at Mobile Games Forum 2014, with games including Hill Climb Racing and Badland, it will enable developers to offer everything from branded t-shirts and mugs to game-specific items.
Backed by Logonet Group, which handles product-based marketing for Hard Rock Cafe, Nokia and ExxonMobil, it has logistics hubs in Europe, Asia and the USA to ensure a global coverage.
"The developers want to sell merchandise, the fans want to show their colors and now we are able to bridge that gap," said CEO Lauri Hulkko.
PopAppStore is also backed by investment fund Vision+ which helps facilitates connections with developers.
PopAppStore has been able to combine complex systems to a simple execution, allowing developers to offer their global fan base an easy access to fun, engaging merchandise, pointed out its managing partner Tero Ojanperä.
