Pocket Gamer set to unite the indies at Unite 2014’s Big Indie Pitch

Seattle is to play host to development platform Unity’s massive annual conference, and Pocket Gamer is going along to hook up with all those Unity-loving indies.

Unite 2014 is set to be a grand show, with tickets for the popular training day having sold out some time ago. It’s a gathering that goes beyond the usual panels and keynotes, aiming to bring the global game development community together to either get their new careers going, meet new colleagues, find out how to make the most of the Unity platform and to network with the industry’s finest.

One for all

So naturally it’s our kind of show. To compliment Unite 2014’s great line up of speakers and events, Samsung and Immersion are sponsoring - alongside our media partners Microsoft and event-organiser Unity - one of our essential Big Indie Pitch sessions so independent devs can get feedback on their latest titles and have their game played by industry leaders.

The show kicks off at Buckley's On Queen Anne at 6pm on 20 August, so register now for your free ticket.

If you’re new to the concept, it’s something of a speed-dating format, which puts you and your game in front of a selection of people from within the games industry and media. The winner walks away with a valuable promotional package that broadcasts your game and your studio across the Steel Media network.

But everyone who enters comes away richer, as the feedback, suggestions and discussions provide valuable insight into how your game development is progressing. And it doesn’t have to be a finished game to enter; so long as you’ve a working prototype that you can demonstrate, getting this early evaluation can change the direction of your future successes.

Tickets are free for participants and spectators, and are available now. Remember to bring a business card to get in the door, and anyone wanting to show off their game needs to register now for Pocket Gamer’s Unite 2014 Big Indie Pitch.
