Services provider GlobalStep has acquired Montreal-based games testing firm Bug-Tracker.
The Canadian company employs 200 staff and offers services including localisation, functionality testing and certification.
Business expansion
The move by GlobalStep is part of plans to accelerate its expansion in Montreal where it hopes to establish a “major presence”.
Bug-Tracker will now become part of the GlobalStep brand.

"Our new operations in Montreal will add localisation capability to our portfolio of services as well as greater flexibility and geographic reach in serving our customers.
“Some of the initiatives we are considering in Montreal include the further development of artificial intelligence in data analytics for video games."
Headquartered in Dalla, Texas, GlobalStep provides services in QA, localisation, live operations support, data analytics, test automation and consulting. It has offices across North America, Europe and Asia.
