Marking what it claims is the most successful mobile game launch history, Rovio has announced downloads of Angry Birds Space have topped 50 million within the title's first 35 days.
Said downloads are spread across iOS, Android, BlackBerry PlayBook PC and Mac with further versions to follow, though the studio stopped short of breaking down the figures platform by platform.
Flying high
"This has been simply amazing, and the whole Rovio team is thrilled to see such a fantastic reception for the game," the studio said on its blog.
"We extend our deepest gratitude to all fans of Angry Birds everywhere.
"While numbers like this certainly say something about the popularity of Angry Birds, for us the main goal is to keep creating fun new experiences that everybody can enjoy."
Before the launch of Angry Birds Space, series wide downloads were 700 million strong, meaning the franchise is now likely responsible for approaching 800 million in total, if not more.
Rovio recently launched its first free update for the game, featuring 10 new levels for iOS and Android.
