Following on from the news that Angry Birds has done a total of 36 mobile million downloads, Rovio has confirmed via Twitter that 7 million of these are the free ad-supported Android version.
The remaining 29 million are split between iOS and Ovi, with downloads from the App Store clearly accounting for the vast majority.
Out the nest
It's thought around 10 million paid iOS downloads of the 99c iPhone and $2.99 iPad have been made, suggesting the free Lite version has been done 17 or 18 million, to a nominal couple of million via Nokia's Ovi store.
Still, Rovio's got some way to go to meet its own target of 100 million free Android downloads; something it will be supporting with the release of a lightweight version of the game for mid-range Android phones.
Of course, any details of how well the ad-supported Android version is being monetised remains tightly guarded.
