App Store premium games rumour gathers pace
Regular readers may know we've caused a bit of a kerfuffle with our story claiming that Apple is planning to introduce a new premium section of its App Store, selling games for $19.99.

Now there's more evidence, with US blog Slide To Play talking to its publishing contacts and coming back with similar information, and some new details too.

Apple will apparently push for "PSP-quality" games for the new section, with much larger file-sizes than current iPhone titles, and more big console franchises.

"We're not going to bring our best stuff out when games like iShoot own the App Store and are making hundreds of thousands of dollars," one publisher tells STP

"If people want to buy [lower-quality, less expensive] games, that's fine, but we'll be able to make money this way."
