In a move it's describing as a way to 'thank customers for choosing webOS', HP has unveiled a new refund program for consumers across Europe who purchased either TouchPad or Palm Pre 3 units before their prices tumbled at the tills.
The company is offering to refund the difference between the price they paid and the heavily discounted rate the devices were sold at just weeks after launch.

So far, the scheme which requires users to enter in details such as their device's serial number and purchase price, amongst others is being limited to major European markets.
As well as the UK, TouchPad and Palm 3 customers in France, Germany and Ireland are eligible for the refund, as long as they activated their webOS account before the price cut on August 23.
It's not yet been announced whether HP plans to roll out a similar program in the US, though the country did benefit from a final batch of TouchPads earlier in September, again sold at the heavily discounted rate that saw sales surge at the end of August.
