Having fully backed the year's biggest emerging platform in Android, as well as supporting Microsoft's Windows Phone 7, it's no surprise that mobile OEMs HTC [TPE:2498] has posted some very impressive initial financial numbers for 2010.
Not yet officially unaudited - so there's some potential for change - nevertheless, total consolidated revenues for the 12 months was $9.5 billion (NT$278 billion), up 93 percent year-on-year.
Total unaudited net income after tax was $1.3 billion (NT$39 billion).
During 2009, HTC shipped 11.7 million devices, with revenue of NT$144.5 billion, and a gross margin of 32 percent.
The last quarter
HTC is waiting for its Q4 results to be audited before providing more detail and analysis; something it will do in a webcast on January 21.
In terms of its Q4 performance, total consolidated revenue was $3.5 billion (NT$104 billion), up 153 percent year-on-year
Total net income after tax for the quarter was $499 million (NT$14.6 billion)
