Created by the merger of Japanese publishers Marvelous Entertainment, AQ Interactive and mobile and social developer Liveware in 2011, Marvelous AQL is sitting in the sweetspot of gaming growth.
And now it's looking to make the most of the opportunities of the European market too.
Headed up by Harry Holmwood, previous CEO of Pure Entertainment and VP at PDP, MAQL Europe has been set up to focus on social and mobile gaming.
Global flow
It plans to bring to Europe the best of the games Marvelous AQL releases in Japan and Asia - such as Logres of Swords and Sorcery and Three Kingdoms - as well as working with local developers to release their games globally.
Currently setting up a team to handle marketing, partnerships, development and localisation, Holmwood commented, "Marvelous AQL have a compelling portfolio of social, mobile and console titles, with many more exciting products in the pipeline.
"I'm thrilled to be building a team to bring these to the European market, and to seek out the best developers in Europe to partner with for new products."
