Nokia has announced that it's shipped its millionth 5800 XpressMusic handset, the day it goes on sale in the UK.
The device is Nokia's first touchscreen phone, and was launched first in Hong Kong and Moscow late last year.
More than 150 people queued up at Nokia's Regent Street store in London this morning to buy one, in advance of its launch through other retailers next week.
No, that's nowhere near as big a queue as Apple had for the iPhone and iPhone 3G. But given the current brass-monkeys weather in London, 150 is frankly not that bad.
"The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been received very positively and this milestone is just further proof that people all over the world want a device that is not only a great music experience, but also makes the most of touchscreen technology," says Jo Harlow, Vice President, Nokia.
However, mobile game developers might not be so positive in their reactions. The 5800 has been criticised for its lack of hardware-acceleration - a particular bugbear for game developers given its large screen.
