Kicking off Casual Connect 2013 in San Francisco in style, Pocket Gamer delivered an epic production.
Together with sponsors NativeX and Grand Cru, there was a big party on Monday 29 July in the swanky subterranean space of Vessel nightclub.
With over 600 packing it in, the massive crowd rocked all night long to a mindblowing concert by The Sunrunners (iTunes link), a first game reveal for Grand Crus Supernauts, an all-star panel featuring NativeX, Grand Cru, Supercell/Initial Capital, Pocket Gems and Perfect World.
You can read a detailed rundown of the discussion here.
Down on the floor
There was also a sponsor floor bustling with activity, swag giveaways, and the Sounds of R3Y GUTI3RR3Z.
In the NativeX lounge, mobile game devs were mixing it up with industry VIPs and showing off their games amidst glowing Native Xtasy cocktails and juicy lambsliders.
At the Grand Cru table, those excited about checking out the contender for 2014 Game of the Year were meeting up with CEO Markus Pasula and CMO Thorbjorn Warin to get hands on with Supernauts and pick up their super-chic Grand Cru tee shirts.
And the DeNA recruiters were having a blast with eager candidates sharing details about exciting career opportunities while handing out colorful DeNA M&Ms.
Nearby the Sunrunners were greeting fans and signing CDs and band tee shirts.
Time to smile
At every turn, guests ran into old friends and Avery Wong Photography snapped it all.
