Cross promotion platform Chartboost is to offer advertisers a way to work with developers outside its network via a new tool dubbed Kiosk.
The venture is being billed as way for advertisers to reach out to smaller, independent studios, with network fees wiped in a bid to expand the platform's appeal.
Despite this aim, however, the first firm to join the platform is Pocket Gems, with the firm's Kiosk offering developers revenue based on the number of installs driven by their app up to a maximum of $50,000.
Small packages
Any developer that signs up within the next 30 days will also be awarded with 1 million free advertising impressions, providing they drive $10,000 worth of installations of Pocket Gems' apps.
According to Chartboost CEO Maria Alegre, the launch of Kiosk comes as a result of a natural evolution of the firm's direct-deals marketplace.
"We have built a closed marketplace where game developers with enough volume to do direct deals can find each other in a 'social-network-like' environment," said Alegre.
"However, some advertisers, with Pocket Gems leading the way, want access to a wider audience than just the game developers in our network and are opening up their profiles to the world."
