Continuing its cross platform momentum, mobile social platform provide Scoreloop has hooked up with Samsung to support its bada platform, as used in the Wave series of smartphones.
The native Scoreloop for bada SDK provides developers with the tools to connect gamers, including those using Scoreloop on iPhone and Android, through its integration of social networks such as MySpace and Facebook.
Scoreloop will provide the SDK to its 3,000 developers immediately so they can enable features such as online leaderboards, player challenges and in-game currency purchases using Scoreloop's Coins system.
Come together
It will also release a bada version of its Scoreloop app to encourage games discovery, as well as letting friends connect and discover what each other are playing. In this way, the application will complement Samsung Apps as an additional sales channel.
"As a social gaming infrastructure partner, Scoreloop will bring its expertise and connected technology to every bada game developer," said Marc Gumpinger, Scoreloop's CEO.
"Extending the Scoreloop ecosystem to bada brings the mobile gaming market one step closer to being fully connected, making it easier and more attractive for developers to go cross platform.
"Support across a wide range of devices and features such as in-app purchases makes this platform in particular very interesting for developers."
Scoreloop will participate internationally in Samsung's bada Developer Days to further promote the platform. It previously offered some support for bada through its integration with Ideaworks Lab's Airplay technology.
