It turns out Mobile World Congress actually saw the announcement of five new N-Gage capable handsets from Nokia. It just didn't make a fuss about them.
Thankfully, the official N-Gage blog has, pointing out that the N86, 6720 Classic, 6710 Navigator, E75 and E55 handsets are all N-Gage devices.
Together with the previously announced 5630 and N97, that means seven new N-Gage handsets are planned for the first half of 2009 - delivering on Nokia's promises that its games platform would be rolled out across more phones this year.
The E75 and E55 are the first two Eseries devices to get N-Gage, showing how the platform is extending even into Nokia's business-focused handsets.
However, the same blog post reports that there's no news on N-Gage for the older N73 or N93 handsets. This late in the day, it wouldn't be a surprise if Nokia abandoned efforts to try and get N-Gage working on them.
