Nokia has unveiled the new N86 high end handset at this years MWC, which comes packed to the I/O port with some mighty impressive technical features.
Primarily this seems to be a new level of camera phone, with an eight-megapixel sensor intended to compete with dedicated digital cameras and appeal to the active photographer. High speed connectivity is also included and has been pegged to allow for sharing of what will be pretty big photos, with the option of using Ovi Share.
We took a quick look at Nokias new Ovi system yesterday, which looks set to compete with the iPhones App Store. That the N86 is clearly geared up for Ovi Store access, we have to wonder whether Nokia will continue to push the N-Gage system in a high end handset such as this.
Details were also recently released regarding the companys slimmest and lightest N-Gage handset, the 5630, which appeared to demonstrate Nokias new found love for its mobile gaming system.
No details yet as to whether the N86 will continue this sudden trend, but it would seem like a seriously missed opportunity if there was no N-Gage onboard a hot device like this.
