Zynga's daily active users hit 11.1 million across iOS, Android and mobile web in October
Adding to the revelation the firm had acquired two unnamed firms for $4.6 million in October, Zynga's amendment to its S-1 filing revealed one other nugget of wisdom: a rise in its daily active users (DAUs).

The San Francisco-based social gaming giant has managed to up its number of DAUs by 1.2 million since its last quarter, jumping from 9.9 million across iOS, Android and mobile web to a current rate of 11.1 million.

DAU by DAU

According to numbers crunched over at Inside Mobile Apps, this puts Zynga near the top end of the DAU charts.

Case in point, Rovio currently boasts 30 million active daily users, while Glu mobile caters for 2.1 million users daily. Back in June, social studio Storm8 also attracted around 4 million daily users, though that figure has potentially risen.

The news comes after Zynga CEO Mark Pincus was forced to defend his company after claims employees had been threatened with the sack if they didn't relinquish their pre-IPO shares.
