Social mobile Storm8 hits 200 million downloads across iPhone and AndroidIn a week dominated by download announcements, social mobile studio Storm8 revealed its own tally across iOS and Android has surpassed 200 million.
It's a level of success the company claimed is "unparalleled in mobile gaming", with Storm8 also reporting that it's enjoyed its first 'million dollar day' as a result of a promo push.

Sony to lose money on every PS Vita sold, but looking to turn profit within 3 yearsAt the end of a week where PS Vita caught the attention of the press with its $249 price point, thoughts soon turned to how Sony plans to make a profit out of the high-tech handheld.
In turn, SCE CEO Kaz Hirai claimed that, while Sony will initially make a loss on each unit sold, it plans to turn a profit within three years post launch, selling more than the PSP's 70 million units in the process.

Gameloft hits 200 million downloads on iOS, plans 20 fresh releases before end of 2011Yet more sales news, with publishing giant Gameloft announcing that it had passed 200 million downloads on the App Store alone.
Gameloft claimed the landmark figure owes much to the success of the firm's core franchises N.O.V.A., Asphalt, Modern Combat and Let's Golf.
