Zynga has recruited EA's Senior VP of Strategy and Operations for mobile Matthew Bromberg as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Bromberg will be oversee the social gaming company’s business operations and its strategy, technology IT, data science, visual design and global player experience teams.
He’ll also direct the company’s studio in Bangalore, India.
Movers and shakers
The role of COO at Zynga was previously held by Clive Downie, who left the company last year to join game engine maker Unity as Chief Marketing Officer.
As well as working at EA and its subsidiary BioWare as group GM, Bromberg was previously CEO of Location-based gaming platform I’mOk Inc.
He’s also held roles at eSports company Major League Gaming and a number of senior positions at AOL.
"Matt is an experienced and proven leader who has worked with some of gaming's highest quality studios and biggest franchises," said Zynga CEO Frank Gibeau.
"He will help us build a world-class studio that brings Zynga's social gaming vision to life in our products for our players.”
