Motive is looking for its next Gameplay Animator, with a keen interest for third-person action animation, to join the gameplay team on our Marvel’s Iron Man project. You would be joining a team of animators who report to the Lead Gameplay Animator.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with designers and programmers to deliver high quality features for the game.
- Author and implement animations for gameplay systems, with a heavy focus on action and body mechanics in an exaggerated style based on a realistic foundation.
- Leverage motion capture data where possible, and enhance it to match the visual aesthetics of the project.
- Implement your animations in existing in-engine systems, and see it go all the way through by resolving any technical or aesthetic issues that may arise.
- Provide feedback to other animators on the team and be part of brainstorming and problem solving conversations.
- Work with technical animators to provide feedback on our tools and rigs and suggest potential improvements.
- Promote communication and collaboration within the animation team.
- Proactively looks for new opportunities to learn new methodologies and processes from peers and applies learnings to production workflows
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years animation experience
- Credits on at least one AAA title.
- Proficient in all relevant software such as Maya and Motionbuilder.
- Experience working and iterating on gameplay systems in-engine.
- A demo reel that showcases examples of high-quality keyframe animation and motion capture, high-action and body mechanics.
- Unreal Engine experience is a plus.
