Fishlabs has revealed that its Volkswagen Polo Challenge iPhone game has been downloaded more than 350,000 times in its first six days of availability on the App Store.
The free game has topped the App Store chart in 21 countries, according to the publisher - including Guatemala. We didn't even know there was an App Store live in Guatemala...
"The evaluations by users are extremely positive and the number of downloads already far exceeds our expectations," says Markus Arand, head of newsroom at Volkswagen's brand and product communications department.
It's good news for Fishlabs, which will presumably be looking to deploy its 3D skills in other iPhone advergames from now on.
It could be seen as a challenge by other publishers, though. If 350,000 people download a free, high-quality game like this, are they less likely to pay for other racing titles?
