US firm Flurry has announced some new tools for its mobile application analytics technology: User Flow Tracking and Dynamic Parameters.
The first is equivalent to click-streams on the web, says Flurry - it lets developers track the sequence of actions performed by users within their apps or games.
Meanwhile, Dynamic Parameters involves tracking actions within apps in more detail - the company cites the example of search boxes, and what the most popular keywords are and what kinds of searches are performed at different times of day.
The new features will be available for Flurry's developer partners on iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Java. These include games publisher Digital Chocolate.
"Flurry is committed to dramatically raising the standard of iPhone and Android Analytics for its customers, says Flurry CEO Simon Khalaf.
"Building the ability to track user flows and event parameters were technically challenging but exactly what our customers needed to better understand their consumers, increase retention and grow their active user base."
