The Open Pandora project has been subject to more than a couple of delays, with LCD display problems really holding the anticipate, UK-made handheld system back.
But the system went into its prototyping phase recently, with the finished case designs being put to the test and completed boards assembled inside and working in the first unit.
Due to the delays, however, a lot of pre-orders were either cancelled or went unpaid, and the Open Pandora team has given any outstanding pre-order slots until April 1st, before cancelling them.
These 300 or so slots will then be offered to the public once again, and with the launch date getting visibly closer, these pre-orders are likely to go pretty quickly.
Pocket Gamer took a look at the open source Pandora system last year, and expectations for the unit (now the Game Park systems are no longer) are very high.
