As you'll know by now, BlackBerry App World launched early this morning, allowing consumers to get their hands on Research In Motion's application store.
We've been covering the launch on both PocketGamer.biz and Pocket Gamer, so here's a round-up of the coverage across both sites.
We started off by covering the launch itself, and details of the 20 Featured Apps, of which Gameloft's Brain Challenge 2 was the only game. And then we moved on to a more detailed look at the 225 games that debuted on the store today.
We took a step-by-step look at how the App World works, including browsing and purchasing, before expressing surprise (to say the least) that a number of games are being sold for £7.85, even when they're available at less than a third of the price for iPhone.
We also figured out that developers are being allowed to do their own in-app billing through credit cards, making subscriptions and micro-transactions possible even though RIM isn't supporting them.
And we finished up with a more considered review of the App World from a consumer's point of view, finding some good points, but also a fair number of omissions or niggles.
We'll have more on the BlackBerry App World tomorrow, including the views of participating developers and publishers.
