As its online mobile application and games store reaches one month old, Nokia put out a survey to see how many of its users were downloading from Ovi Store.
Of the 400 Nokia customers surveyed, around 59 per cent were regular downloaders. Around 30 per cent of those had grabbed between two and five pieces of software, with 6 per cent downloading more than 10 items.
While 36 per cent haven't downloaded anything at all, only 5 per cent had never heard of the Ovi Store, which in total adds up to some quite encouraging figures for Nokia's big push into digital distribution.
MocoNews is also reporting that the Ovi Store's top downloaded software are paid applications. Digital Alarm Clock takes the overall top position (costing £1.50), while the Twitter client Gravity lands the current number one - weighing in at a hefty £8.
Although much of the praise for that success probably should go to Twitter, it also proves to Nokia that its handset users are willing to spend to get the software they want.
