Mobile publisher Gameloft (GFT.PA) has announced another set of impressive financial figures.
Sales for its third quarter, ending 30th September 2009, were 30.1 million, up 15 percent compared to the same period in 2008.
This performance was put down to the strength of mobile game sales, especially iPhone, Java and Brew, up 17 percent over the first nine months of 2009.
Asia and South America were singled out as being growth regions: up 29 percent during the period.
Europe represented 38 percent of 2009 third quarter revenues, North America 31 percent, and the rest of the world 31 percent.
Combined sales figures for the nine months of 2009 were 90.2 million, up 18 percent on 2008.
The Q3 2009 sales figure compares with 29.3 million in Q2 and 30.8 million in Q1.
However, there has been a slight drop off in year-on-year growth throughout the quarters. Q1 was up 22 percent, Q2 up 17 percent and Q3 up 15 percent: perhaps a measure of the wider economic slowdown.
Gameloft said 95 percent of its sales were due to mobile game sales, with the remainder from console game sales.
And the company has certainly had a busy three months, especially on the App Store where it's released successful premium priced games such as Gangstar: West Coast Hustle, Modern Combat: Sandstorm, and Blades of Fury.
The company's consolidated full year sales will be published on 2nd February 2010
In its 2008 financial year, Gameloft made a net loss of 1.8m based on revenues of 110.3m.
