Lawsuits have been flying around the smartphone industry like stray bullets lately, with Nokia and Apple exchanging weekly counter suits, and even the South Korean government getting in on the courtroom action.
Kodak is the latest to join in, after pinning a patent infringement on both Apple and Research In Motion for failing to license its camera equipped smartphone technology.
Apparently, a lot of manufacturers license this premise from Kodak, though Apple and RIM have always refused. Now Kodak is seeking a limited exclusion order preventing patent infringing devices from being imported.
According to MocoNews, Kodak has issued further suits against Apple specifically in the New York District Court over digital camera and computing technology patents.
