As PocketGamer.biz reported yesterday, Orange UK has confirmed it's outsourced its Java mobile games and application portal to Player X.
The Zed-owned company already runs a similar service for O2 UK under the 100% Mobile brand.
"Choosing the right partner for us in this field was essential to ensure the continued growth for our gaming business and Player X following a successful tender process were the ideal candidates to take this on," said Neil Holroyd, head of games and gambling at Orange UK.
Tony Pearce of Zed/Player X said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Orange UK to help drive its mobile gaming business. All the major game publishers will be participating in the new portal from launch which will include all gaming and application content."
All of the UK's operator game portals are now run in this manner with Arvato handling T-Mobile and Vodafone, and Buongiorno looking after Three.
