With games providing seven of the top 10 most popular apps on the Android Market, Google is really keen to get more game developers supporting its mobile platform.
Indeed, it's so keen that it's announced a deal with the organisers of the Game Developers Conference to give away a Nexus One or Motorola Droid to everyone who registers for All Access ($1,400) or Tutorials and Summits ($550) passes by the Early Bird deadline of February 4th, 2010.
Not bad considering a Nexus One costs $529 direct from Google.
Of course, one reason for this is to encourage people to come along to the various Android-focused sessions during the conference. These will cover Android game development in Java or C++, and engineers from the Android team will be available to answer any questions.
You can find more details about the offer at the GDC website.
