Native iPad apps to get dedicated section on App Store
Keen to give native apps an early push, Apple has revealed that apps designed specifically for the iPad will be partitioned from the rest of the App Store from day one.

Apple made the announcement in iPad pre-order section of its website, which went live today.

The firm states that, while users will be able to "choose from over 150,000 apps in the App Store", those made with the Apple's new device in mind will be housed in a "section of the store (pictured) that features apps designed specifically for iPad".

App happy

Apple continues, "You’ll find hundreds that make the most of its large display, responsive performance, and Multi-Touch interface. Or browse iPhone and iPod touch apps. No matter what you need, there’s bound to be an app for it."

With iPad set to launch in the US on April 3rd, Apple today began taking pre-orders for the device in the States.

Its UK pricing is still unknown, though TechRadar reports that retailer Play has the 16GB unit listed on Google Products for £499, the 64GB version costing £699.

Apple is expected to confirm its UK price plan at some point next month.
