Verizon's V Cast app store to launch with BlackBerry Storm

Due date March 29th

Verizon's V Cast app store to launch with BlackBerry Storm
Verizon's V Cast Brew-based games and apps channel has been around for years in various forms.

Indeed, with Motorola's Droid a Verizon exclusive, and the most popular Android device in North America, its slot on the Android Marketplace is already V Cast branded.

Now however the roll out of Verizon's standalone V Cast app store, which was announced back in the summer of 2009, has been confirmed - or leaked at CTIA 2010 - as being 29th March.

On the RIM

The first platform to be supported will be BlackBerry, with the top end Storm series being the launch devices.

It will be extended to other phones and platforms over the coming weeks and months.

As you'd expect, billing will be one-touch and added to consumers' monthly phone bill.

Developers will receive 70 percent revenue share on sold applications.
