One of the surprises for developers launching iPad games was that the most popular of the social gaming networks OpenFeint didn't support the device.
There was an SDK release with iPad code but it had issues and was removed, meaning that the only launch game with OpenFeint was Aurora Feint's own Aurora Feint 3.
It used various components of the OpenFeint X MMOG and virtual items platform.
Now however games such as Fieldrunners for iPad can add in the sort of OpenFeint features that were in their iPhone versions.
Support for iPad is handled in OpenFeint 2.4.6 and requires you to use Xcode 3.2.
You can read more details about the release here.
