Nordic summit eLBeS to discuss location-based success

Swedish city Malmö chosen for third annual conference

Nordic summit eLBeS to discuss location-based success
The location-based sector is without doubt one of the main talking points within the mobile industry, but some believe much of its success so far has been restricted to superficial marketing exploits.

As a result, the third annual European Location Based Entertainment Summit (eLBeS) conference, due to take place in Malmö on April 27th, is set to focus on how developers can make the most of this burgeoning market.

Set to proceed the Nordic Game 2010 conference, those behind the venture claim this year's eLBeS will address the "problems that seem to exist with the establishment of LBS by using games and entertainment services".

"A melting pot and catalyst for new ideas and future co-operation", eLBeS will have sessions that deal with: how consumers currently use LBS and how they can benefit from them in the future; how such features are being equipped in games and; most importantly, how studios can make location-based apps successful.

Running from 10am to 6pm, seats are reportedly limited with those looking to attend advised to register via the Nordic Game 2010 website.

The attendance fee is €50 per person (eLBeS appears to be free for those who have already stumped up for a ticket to Nordic Game 2010), with further details available on the official eLBeS website.
