As a preamble to the iPhone 4.0 SDK preview, Apple CEO Steve Jobs released some new figures concerning iPad.
With over 300,000 iPad confirmed as sold - including pre-orders, deliveries to channel partners, and sales at Apple retail stores on the launch day - Jobs has hiked up the iPad total to-date to 450,000.
That's an additional 150,000 sales in four-ish days or 26 sales per minute. Not too shabby.
What's perhaps more significant is the activity generated by those iPads.
Compared to the launch day, over 600,000 iBooks have been sold, up from over 250,000.
That's 83 iBooks per minute.
Total iPad app downloads are up from over one million to 3.5 million: or 486 per minute.
There are already 3,500 dedicated iPad apps on the App Store out of a total of 185,000 apps.
