BuzzCity sees its Q1 mobile advertising rise 38%; Indonesia and India top dogs
Singapore-based global mobile advertising network BuzzCity has released its Global Mobile Advertising Index for Q1 2010.

Compared to the 2009 Q4 period, this was a rise of 38 percent with the network serving up over 8 billion impressions over the three month period.

BuzzCity's network including over 2,000 publishers across the globe, and includes the Djuzz game portal, which was launched in February 2010.

The top four markets for the company remain the same, with Indonesia dominating (up 38 percent), and India (up 71 percent) reaching more than one billion impressions for the first.

The US and South Africa were joined in fifth place by Canada for the first time.



BuzzCity's CEO, KF Lai, commented, "The increase in affordable high-end phones and greater public awareness of the mobile web has driven a rise in the volume of global mobile traffic in 2010.

"This demonstrates the continued advertiser interest in mobile internet advertising and with many campaigns being run through experienced agencies, we are starting to see a more constant and structured investment in the medium.

"We are also starting to observe a greater investment in mobile from brands outside the mobile content sector, most notably among operators."
