US TV company ABC has been one of the successes in terms of app and content downloads.
Its client has been downloaded over 212,000 times since launch, according to Variety. Using last Thursday's figure of 450,000 iPads, that's around 47 percent of the install base.
In addition, 680,000 TV episodes have been streamed; an average of 3.2 per app download.
The most popular shows were Modern Family, Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution.
"We are thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from our viewers and advertisers," said Anne Sweeney, co-chair, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney/ABC Television Group.

In terms of the activity of iPad users online, web analytics firm NetApplications reports iPad accounts for around 0.03 percent of total web traffic.
Not much but it compares well to 0.04 percent for BlackBerry, 0.07 percent for Android, 0.51 percent for iPhone, and 0.11 percent for iPod touch.
Each of these devices has install bases in the ten(s) of millions.
