What's going on at Canadian developer IUGO?
It made headlines when Apple pulled and then reinstated its Daisy Mae's Alien Buffet game, which recently did 125,000 free downloads as part of OpenFeint's Free Game of the Day.
But now, according to an interview with director of business developer Sarah Thomson, as part of Vancouver website Straight.com's Geek Speak, it's got an undercover social title in development.
To be announced
"We have a pretty big project underway. We're definitely wanting to move full-fledged into the social-gaming space," says Thomson.
"I think you're going to see a lot of socially driven apps come out from IUGO over the next year or so. So, we're very excited to sort of push the envelope on that.
"The phone is a social device, and why wouldn't you want to tie your gaming into that? So, I think we've got lots of really cool ideas with that."
Other subjects covered include the developer's four iPad games, working with Apple over the App Store, plus the whole Daisy Mae situation.
"I actually wrote in a letter of complaint. Then, the next day, magically she reappeared," Thomson says.
