Best known recently for the release of the Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior game on iPhone and iPad, mobile and online publisher Indiagames has rebranded itself as UTV Indiagames.
This brings it in line with its majority shareholder, UTV Software Communications, which in turn is 60 percent owned by The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia).
Nothing to see
There is no change in the company's management, or operations and the shareholding pattern remains unaltered; something that's presumably been highlighted following communications with its creditors, including game developers, in March.
"UTV and Indiagames have significant business synergies. We believe the new brand creates a stronger positioning for the two companies in the business environment" said Vishal Gondal, Indiagames' CEO and founder.
UTV acquired a controlling stake in Indiagames in December 2007, and over the past two years, the companies have worked together to introduce games to digital platforms globally.
